Method 1: The fastest way to use shortcut keys

How to copy on chromebook

  1. Use the touchpad or mouse to highlight the text or content you want to copy.
  2. Press Ctrl + C at the same time to copy the text to the temporary memory on your Chromebook.

  1. Carefully click where you want to insert the content then press Ctrl + V the content will be pasted starting from where the mouse blinks

Method 2: Use the menu on the right mouse button slower but make sure to copy more

  1. Click from the top of the text and press the Shift key, then left-click the end of the text. All the content to be copied will be blackened correctly or you can click on the top of the content you want to copy, Then drag the mouse pointer to the end to black out the text to use.
  2. Right-click on the blackened content in the previous step. A menu will appear. To right-click on the touchpad, hold down the Alt key and click the right mouse button of the touchpad (Alt + click) or at the same time touch two fingers to the touchpad.If you have connected your Chromebook to a removable mouse, click on the right button of the mouse to open the right-click menu.
  3. Click the Copy option near the top of the menu.
  4. Go to where you want to insert the content. Navigate to the location or document where you want to insert content.
  5. Right-click at the position to insert. Another menu will appear. To right-click on the touchpad, hold down the Alt key and click the right mouse button of the touchpad (Alt + click) or at the same time touch two fingers to the touchpad. If you have connected your Chromebook to a removable mouse, click on the right button of the mouse to open the right-click menu.
  6. Click the Paste task near the top of the menu. Doing so will be pasted into the location you choose.

 

Method 3 Use the menu command fairly slowly

  1. Blacken the content. Use touchpad or mouse to highlight the content you want to copy.
  2. Click the ⋮ button located in the upper right corner of the window.
  3. Click the Copy task near the bottom of the menu, right to the "Edit" section.
  4. Go to where you want to insert the content. Navigate to the location or document where you want to insert content.
  5. Click where you want to insert the content. Place the mouse cursor where you want to paste the content.
  6. Click the ⋮ button located in the upper right corner of the window.
  7. Select the Paste task near the bottom of the menu, right to the "Edit" section.
